I've always had dreams about snakes and have always loved to draw them since I was very young. I've also been afraid of them and this summer had a thought that I should learn more about the kinds snakes I might run into in my new adopted home in Northern New Mexico. Crazily enough, I crossed paths THE VERY NEXT DAY with a baby bull snake sneaking through my grass which made me believe that animal medicine is real. I've learned that snakes represent supreme transformation and healing, untapped creativity and the changes you know you've been waiting for.

*framing notes--since I like to go right up to the edge of my paper with detail, I recommend a floating mount. If you have any questions I’m happy to help!
