Bonbon Oiseau

Hummingbirds have been symbols of hope and good fortune to many different human groups, and I think they're courageous and strong little things, determined and busy yet light and graceful. They signify a breath of fresh air to me, like the surprise and lessons of Spring. So many people have asked after this painting that I thought I'd make a small edition in the original size of 8"x8", an archival print on beautiful Canson-Arches Watercolor paper.

Partial proceeds from this sale will be donated to the Lower East Side Girls Club of NYC, a center offering a safe haven for middle and high school girls with programs in the arts, sciences, leadership, entrepreneurship, and wellness at no cost to them or their families.

*framing notes--since I like to go right up to the edge of my paper with detail, I recommend a floating mount. If you have any questions I’m happy to help!
